Turkey signs $300 mln trade deal with China

The agreements include the trading of some materials and produce that are inherent in Turkey, such as marble, chrome ore, soya oil, hazelnut sauce and cotton fiber

Turkey signed 36 agreements with China that could see $300 million trade between the two countries.  China Radio International (CRI) published a report citing that the Chinese Trade Delegation currently visiting Turkey has signed agreements in Istanbul at the Industry and Trade Symposium.  The 36 agreements include the trading of some materials and produce that are inherent in Turkey, such as marble, chrome ore, soya oil, hazelnut sauce and cotton fiber, the report said.  The agreements were discussed in September between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou.  CRI said the Chinese Trade ministry delegation's visit to Turkey was a sign of strong economic relations between Ankara and Beijing.  The visit carries tremendous importance for boosting bilateral trade and the strategic partnership between the two countries, the report said.
